Explore boundless beaches, lovely lakes, rushing rivers, soaring sand dunes, terrific trails and plenty of parks. Florence is one of the most diverse regions in all of Oregon. Rent an ATV and ride the sand dunes, take a sternwheeler along the Siuslaw River. If you like amazing scenery, you'll have to visit Cape Perpetua. The kids will love "spouting horn" a blowhole that sprays water sky-high. You can also visit the interpretive center to learn more about the geology and history of this area.
During the winters, make sure to visit the Sea Lion Caves just 10 miles north. You can also visit Devil's Elbow State Park after winter storms and look for treasures washed in by the pounding waves. No matter what season you visit, dining and accommodations are never a problem. Florence is only 60 miles west of Eugene and has terrific hotels and restaurants that make it one of Oregon's favorite tourist destinations.
